Une belle carte antique originale du Nottinghamshire, en Angleterre, gravée sur cuivre. Une carte très détaillée, dotée d’un cartouche décoratif et d’échelles indiquant les « grands », « moyens » et « petits » miles. Un excellent exemplaire, magnifiquement mis en valeur par une jolie coloration à la main réalisée ultérieurement. Au centre de l’image se trouve la « forêt de Sherewood » (forêt de Sherwood), telle que décrite dans la légende de Robin des Bois. Dimensions : 16,5 pouces x 13,75 pouces (41,9 cm x 34,9 cm) La gravure est en excellent état mais a été légèrement rognée — veuillez examiner attentivement l’image car elle est très précise.
