Vers 1945 Huile sur toile, sur panneau de fibres dures Encadré 26 × 35 cm Collection privée, Suisse Paola Tedeschi-Pellanda/Patrizia Guggenheim, Varlin. Catalogue raisonné des tableaux, Zurich 2000, p. 103, n° 470.1 (avec illustration) Toile nécessitant une légère restauration. Dans une lettre adressée par Varlin à Max Eichenberger en 1945, l’artiste écrivait qu’il était en train de peindre le Palace Hotel de Montreux. Dans une liste d’œuvres non datée établie par Varlin pour Arnold Rüdlinger à l’occasion de l’exposition de Bâle en 1967, figurent « 7 tableaux peints à Montreux » et « 15 tableaux appartenant à la ville de Zurich ».
