Unofficial rank insignia. Includes a second lieutenant collar insignia sewn onto a piece of black wool cloth, with complete safety pin, winter model. An ensign rank insignia consisting of two black cotton fabric stripes and a silver coloured metal cherry blossom on a white cotton backing, with complete safety pin, summer model. An ensign collar tab sewn directly onto a brown leather tab, with complete safety pin, winter model. Some wear and patina consistent with age. Condition II plus.
