Peter Paul Rubens - La tentation du Christ Description : Cette gravure retouchée à la couleur présente, dans le coin gauche, un dessin réalisé par Rubens pour le plafond de l'église des Jésuites d'Anvers, détruite par un incendie en 1718. Rubens a réalisé le dessin préparatoire pour Christoffel, qui en a tiré une célèbre gravure sur bois (Hollstein 6). Le paysage, avec l'effet de lumière provenant de derrière le tronc d'arbre noueux, semble s'inspirer d'un dessin de Roelant Savery, gravé par Aegisus Sadeler (Hollstein 236). Je n’ai pas pu identifier l’auteur de l’œuvre mise aux enchères. Dimensions : 32,00 x 27,00 cm État : L'estampe présente des marges de plaque à gauche et en haut, mais pourrait être rognée à droite. Montée sur une feuille de collection. Une œuvre agréable et intéressante en raison de ses couleurs exquises. Technique : Gravure Date : Vers le XVIIe siècle
