Provenance Bonhams, Londres, 9 avril 1981, lot 128 (attribué à Osias Beert l’Ancien). – Lempertz, Cologne, 21 mai 1984, lot 178. – Collection privée rhénane. Dans son expertise, Ingvar Bergström a qualifié notre tableau d’œuvre très précoce du peintre flamand de natures mortes Frans Ykens, qui montre encore l’influence de son maître Osias Beert l’Ancien. Auparavant, le tableau était attribué à ce dernier.
