Imprimé par John Knapton en 1747, à Londres. Les gravures ont été réalisées soit par Jacobus Houbraken, soit par George Vertue, d'après Holbein, Kneller, Van Dyck et autres. Ces planches gravées sur cuivre sont l'œuvre de Houbraken et sont accompagnées d'un bref historique et d'une biographie du personnage représenté. Ce lot comprend des gravures du général John Lambert, de Sir William Temple et de Charles, lord Talbot.
