VÉLO SAPHIR - c.1910-15 Rare plaque émaillée publicitaire originale bombée, lettrage fortement embossé. De belle taille 60 x 39,5 cm. «Ferro Email. Aetz- & Emaillierwerke.C.Robert Dold. Offenburg. iB» Très bel état de conservation- brillance optimale et émail bien gras, très qualitatif. Les couleurs sont fantastiquement préservées : le fond bleu profond met puissamment en valeur un lettrage blanc fortement embossé. Cet émail épais et bien fourni accentue le relief des lettres, offrant une visibilité parfaite. On relève uniquement deux altérations mineures : une au niveau du « S » supérieur et une dans l'angle supérieur droit. Marque de vélos bruxelloise, (Belgique vers 1910-1914). La firme recrute comme ambassadeur le mythique coureur François Faber (premier vainqueur étranger du Tour de France en 1909), qui court sous ses couleurs en 1913.
