ATTRIBUÉ À THEODORE DE BRUYN (HOLLANDAIS, 1726-1804) VUE SUR LA TENTE TURQUE, PAINSHILL PARK, COBHAM huile sur toile, 86 cm x 107 cm, encadrée. Ce tableau appartenait à Brian Abel-Smith, un parent de la famille Dorrien-Smith qui détenait le bail de l’île de Tresco. Brian a hérité de nombreuses œuvres d’art et de meubles à la mort de ce parent et, après le décès de Brian, son compagnon John Sarbutt a hérité des tableaux. Le frère de Brian était Lionel Abel-Smith, alors seigneur de Wendover. L’œuvre a ensuite été transmise par héritage au vendeur actuel.
