Un shako destiné aux soldats des bataillons de chasseurs, antérieur à 1892 Corps en cuir noir épais (revernis en noir, usé), visière en cuir épais, ferrures en laiton. Emblème représentant un aigle vissé à l'aide d'écrous à étrier. Joug de menton en cuir fixé par un crochet. En haut, un insigne de campagne ajouté ultérieurement pour les soldats (couture de guidage déchirée à l'intérieur du corps). Bonne doublure en cuir des languettes. Légèrement abîmée par endroits, traces d'usure et de vieillissement. Bien conservée compte tenu de son âge. Ce n’est qu’avec le décret du 13 avril 1892 que la fixation par crochets a cédé la place aux boutons pour la fixation de la lanière de menton. État : II
