Currie (1849-1940), était une peintre de miniatures et de tranches. Au début du XXe siècle, elle travaillait à la librairie Henry Sotheran & Co. où elle peignait les tranches. Elle réalisait également des miniatures sur ivoire pour les reliures Cosway de Rivière.
