1930 Citroën AC4 Commercial Torpedo Chassis no. 105.009 Fine restoration Legendary model French collector registration (Carte grise de collection) The Citroën C4 was initially called the AC4—referencing André Citroën 4—to differentiate it from the 1925 C4, which never went into production. The letter "A" was quickly dropped, eventually leaving only the "C4" designation. It was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1928 to replace the aging B14, whose export sales figures were falling sharply. Citroën envisioned a more powerful, more comfortable vehicle that closely mirrored American standards, which were enjoying massive success worldwide. The example presented here is a 1930 Commercial Torpedo. It was fully restored in the 2010s. Having been brought back on the road and serviced in 2024 following its acquisition, this torpedo is a fine example that has become rare in this condition.
