Cercle de Barent Gael, Néerlandais, 1630/35-1698- Scène de village représentant des personnages faisant la fête devant une taverne ; huile sur panneau, 33,8 x 44,5 cm. Provenance : Collection privée. Remarque : On pense qu’il a été formé par Philips Wouwerman (1619-1668) ; Gael est surtout connu pour ses représentations vivantes de scènes de taverne et de marché, souvent animées par des chevaux et situées dans des paysages imaginaires. La présente œuvre rappelle fortement ses compositions, notamment celle vendue chez Nagel, à Stuttgart, le 13 mai 2026, lot 843, ou une autre vendue au Dorotheum, à Vienne, le 16 décembre 2021, lot 171.
