CÉLÈBRE POUR SES SCÈNES SURRÉALISTES DE L'APRÈS-GUERRE ET DE L'ÈRE ATOMIQUE, CERTAINES DE SES ŒUVRES SONT CONSERVÉES AU PENTAGONE (VIRGINIE) ET DANS D'AUTRES MUSÉES. Œuvre saisissante évoquant la solitude et la ruine, sa composition est dominée par d’imposantes structures en pierre aux tons ocres et par un petit personnage ressemblant à un torero solitaire, dont la cape d’un rouge intense crée un effet de contraste. (Un procédé récurrent dans son œuvre pour souligner l’isolement et le mysticisme.) Huile sur Masonite, signée en bas à droite, au format vertical allongé. Dimensions : 71 cm x 23 cm.
