Petit brûleur d'encens chinois en bronze à trois pieds Dynastie Qing, XVIIIe siècle Moulé en forme de segment de bambou, la base porte le caractère « Xuan » inscrit dans un cercle ; hauteur : 5,4 cm ; diamètre : 5,6 cm. Provenance : Bukowskis, Stockholm, Grande vente d'hiver, 11 décembre 2020, lot 663. Collection de Paul Wedendal, Stockholm. Le bambou, droit et creux, mais souple, symbolise l’humilité et l’intégrité ; il était donc vénéré par la classe des lettrés en Chine, devenant ainsi un motif populaire sur les objets destinés au cabinet de travail des lettrés.
