Vers 1910. Le joaillier et orfèvre Hugo Strömdahl (1880 - 1953) a commencé à créer des pièces de haute joaillerie pour l'aristocratie et la noblesse suédoises, et s'est rapidement forgé une grande popularité grâce à son élégance et à son style sobre.
