Bloemaert, Abraham (d'après) Gorinchem 1564 - Utrecht 1651 90 x 64 cm Les quatre Pères de l'Église latins : Augustin, Ambroise, Jérôme et Grégoire. Huile sur toile marouflée sur bois. Provenant de la collection de Johanna von Wekbeker (1851 - 1918), restée dans la famille par héritage jusqu’à aujourd’hui La version grand format de ce tableau, datant de 1632, se trouve aujourd’hui au musée Catharijnenconvent à Utrecht. Il devait toutefois exister une variante légèrement différente de celle-ci, transmise par une gravure sur cuivre de Cornelis Danckerts (1604-1656) et dont s'inspire le tableau présenté ici.
