La descente du Christ aux enfers Russie, vers 1780/1820 32 x 28 cm Au centre du tableau, le Christ se tient debout sur les portes brisées de l'Hadès et tend sa main droite à Adam. Derrière Adam, les ancêtres rachetés sortent de leurs tombes, suivis des rois et des prophètes de l’Ancien Testament. Au centre, en bas, des anges ligotent Satan ; en haut, des scènes représentant le bon larron. Au-dessus, un titre en slavon d’Église (« La résurrection de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ »).
