Traces d'usure dues à l'âge. Collection privée du sud de l'Allemagne Le renfoncement central de l'étui présente une encoche destinée à accueillir une monture de bague. À l'origine, il s'agissait d'un « cabinet à pierres pour bague » : les différentes pierres constituaient des inserts interchangeables pour la bague centrale.
