Le petit-fils de Wood, Sir Charles Wood, devint lord Halifax en 1866 après avoir occupé le poste de chancelier de l’Échiquier whig de 1846 à 1852. Henry Wood (1645 – 1720), représenté au lot 84, était le grand-père du capitaine Charles Wood.
