368 - Casque Portugais nominatif. Casque en tole d'acier strié de fabrication anglaise, appelé modèle 916 par les portugais. Peint initialement en bleu, tel que visible à l'intérieur, il a reçu sa peinture de guerre kaki. Bandeau de sudation en cuir avec amortisseur isolant en liège, cousu sur la bombe du casque. Une partie des coutures ont sauté. Un matricule 1360, un nom ou prénom ALBERTO, repris également sur la doublure en toile. Jugulaire absente. Usure d'usage, patine. Named helmet of the Portuguese Expeditionary Corps. British-made corrugated steel helmet, known to the Portuguese as the Model 916. Originally painted blue, still visible inside, then overpainted wartime khaki. Leather sweatband with cork insulating pad stitched to shell. Some stitching has failed. Service number 1360 and the name or first name ALBERTO, also repeated on canvas lining. Chinstrap missing. Wear and patina.
