Vase à étrier en laiton avec des lames d'estoc symétriques en forme de haricot, hache avec enroulement de fil de laiton et pommeau rond en forme d'urne. Légèrement endommagé, traces d'âge. Maître de "Los Santos Juanes" (Actif en Castille entre 1525- 1550) École gothique médiévale espagnole du XVe siècle. Monumental oil on panel measuring 145 x 95 cm in outstanding state of conservation and polychrome of origin, the scene with which this work delights us represents the painting depicts Pope St. Gregory the Great, when in the year 590 an epidemic of plague was declared in Rome, which caused numerous deaths. For this reason the Pontiff organized a great procession. Arriving at the Bridge of Helium (today the Bridge of Sant'Angelo), in front of the Castellum Crescentii (ancient mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian), the miracle took place. Pope Gregory looked towards the top of the castle, and there he observed the great figure of the archangel St. Michael, sheathing his sword, who welcomes them, very possibly being a commemorative commission from the Archbishopric to the master from Palencia to decorate a newly built church or cathedral. Jahrhunderts zurück und beinhaltete Tanz, Akrobatik und Musik für die Darstellung chinesischer historischer Geschichten und Folklore. Ursprünglich trugen die Darsteller echte Masken, die später durch eine Art Schminke ersetzt wurden, die speziell für jede Figur entworfen wurde. - Zhang Fei (gest. 221 n. Chr.), Rufname Yide, war ein chinesischer Militärgeneral und Politiker, der unter dem Kriegsherrn Liu Bei in der späten Östlichen Han-Dynastie und der frühen Zeit der Drei Reiche in China diente. - Sehr gut erhalten. China - Original drawing depicting a Beijing opera mask for the figure Zhang Fei. Late 19th c. Gouache on silk. Framed in a double floral silk border. Dimensions of drawing: 10 x 10 cm, with border 29 x 27 cm. Under passepartout. - The emergence of Peking opera dates back to the end of the 18th century and included dance, acrobatics and music for the depiction of Chinese historical stories and folklore. Originally, the performers wore real masks, which were later replaced by a type of make-up specially designed for each character. - Zhang Fei (d. 221 AD), surnamed Yide, was a Chinese military general and politician who served under the warlord Liu Bei in the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the early Three Kingdoms period in China. - Very well preserved.
