GAMBLE. VERNET, Carle (after) [Chasse au cerf. Paris Vve Turgis c. 1830] Obl. 8vo: 22 (of 24) pl. (some light foxing or spotting mainly in margin, fold on last pl.). Half calf rebacked, orig. marbled paper on boards, gilt top edge (sl. rubbing). Etched suite published without general title. The 2 missing pl. ("Le défaut relevé", "Étalons de chevaux de chasse") were replaced by 2 pl. of the same size engr. by Levaché after paintings by Vernet, published in Paris by Gautier ("La promenade en calèche" and "Le départ pour la promenade").
