A rare Dresden half hunting case pocket watch - manufactured in quality 1A Movm. No. 7743, Case No. 7743, Dimensions 50 mm, circa 1871, Weight 113 g, Origin Deutschland Case: 18 K gold, engraved monogram "UH", case design "Jürgens", gold dome with engraving, inlaid enamel Roman numerals. Dial: Enamel. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, club-tooth lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance. This movement does not yet feature the Glashuette sunburst finish, that was commonly used from the 1870s on. For protection against corrosion, the steel winding wheels were tempered in brown. Case: very good, slightly rubbed. Dial: very good, hairline. Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended.
