The engraved titles show the personification of Piedmont and Savoy, respectively engr. by Abraham Blooteling and Gerard Valk, both after Gerard de Lairesse. The first volume, dedicated to Piedmont, contains 5 engraved plates (1 coat of arms of the dukes of Savoy, 1 genealogical table and 3 portraits: Victor Amedée II, Charles Emanuel II and Marie Jeanne de Savoy-Nemours), a map of Piedmont and 64 views of palaces with gardens, public buildings, some monasteries and churches, town plans and maps (large bird-eye view of Turin on 2 sheets). The second volume, dedicated to Savoy, contains a map of Savoy and 68 views and town plans (bird-eye views of Thonon, Aosta, Biella, Mondovi, Andorno and Garessio each on 2 sheets).
