(1934-2010), Genève, Suisse, acquis auprès de Mme Hartmann, 1975 Vase taillé dans un petit monolithe de brèche. Le savant travail de polissage du sculpteur met bien en évidence la décoration naturelle des veinures brun/rouge de la pierre. La forme est très simple et élégante avec un corps en forme de tonnelet, sans pied et se terminant par une petite lèvre angulaire ; il est pourvu de deux anses cylindriques et perforées. L’intérieur a été évidé. A Predynastic or Thinite breccia double-handled cosemtic jar. Vase carved from a small breach monolith. The sculptor’s skillful polishing work clearly highlights the natural decoration of the brown / red grain of the stone. The shape is very simple and elegant with a barrel-shaped body, without a foot and ending in a small angular lip; it has two cylindrical and perforated handles. The interior has been hollowed out. Ca. 3200-2900 B.C.
