A National Guard percussion musket with bayonet
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Valtellina, Round, smoothbore, 17.8 mm cal barrel (clean at the inside), provided with clutch for the bayonet, foresight, octagonal breech featuring marks of the Liege test bench. Tang with fixed rear sight. Backward spring lock with remains of crowned mark. Wooden full s tock (a creak before the lock). Well-visible marks, including 'GN + VALTELLINA' inside an ellipsis. Iron mounts with dome dents. Missing ramrod. Socket bayonet (length 52 cm). Complete with the owner's historical notes. length 141,5 cm.
