WATARU YOSHIZUMI (Tokio, 1963) LA FAMILIA CRECE. «Marmalade Boy». Cel de anime montado sobre un cartón de soporte + dibujo. Dimensiones: 23 x 26,5 cm. Wataru Yoshizumi es una reconocida mangaka japonesa, famosa por sus aportaciones al género shōjo, dirigido principalmente a un público femenino joven. Debutó en 1984 en la revista Ribon Original con la historia «Radical Romance» y saltó a la fama con «Handsome na Kanojo» (1988). Su obra más conocida, *Marmalade Boy*, comenzó a publicarse en 1992 y se convirtió en un fenómeno internacional gracias a su adaptación al anime en 1994. En España, la serie alcanzó gran popularidad bajo el título *La familia crece*, convirtiéndose en un referente de la animación japonesa emitida por televisión durante la década de los noventa. El universo de Yoshizumi se caracteriza por historias románticas, relaciones personales y los conflictos emocionales típicos de la adolescencia.
