PETER ROBERT KEIL (Polonia, 1942). Sin título. Técnica mixta sobre cartón. Firmado en la esquina inferior izquierda. Dimensiones: 100 x 69 cm; 106 x 77 cm (con marco). Peter Robert Keil se inició en el mundo del arte gracias a su familia y comenzó a estudiar con el pintor Otto Nagel en 1954. Entre 1959 y 1961, estudió en la Universidad de las Artes de Berlín, donde coincidió con artistas como Georg Baselitz y Markus Lüpertz. Sus estancias en París, Londres, Mallorca y Estados Unidos contribuyeron a la evolución de su estilo. Inicialmente influenciado por el expresionismo alemán y la obra de Picasso, desarrolló, a partir de la década de 1960, un estilo pictórico espontáneo y dinámico caracterizado por colores intensos, pinceladas enérgicas y un estilo figurativo muy alejado del realismo. En la década de 1980, se vinculó al movimiento de los «Neue Wilden» (Los Nuevos Salvajes) en Berlín. Actualmente vive y trabaja en Alemania, Berlín y Los Ángeles.
