Pierre Puvis de Chavannes (1824-1898) La caza, o El regreso de la caza. 1862. Aguafuerte. 237 x 315 [348 x 525]. Beraldi sin describir. Preciosa copia sobre papel verjurado de color marfil intenso. Ligero rastro de oxidación en los bordes. Rastros de pliegues y un pequeño desgarro en las esquinas inferiores. Margenes muy amplios. Sello AABM (Lugt 3075). «... no se iniciaría en el grabado hasta 1862 y, a petición de Cadart, realizaría dos aguafuertes con la intención de que se publicaran en las entregas de la Société des aquafortistes. Estas dos láminas, que de hecho no llegaron a publicarse, se titulan: El martirio de San Sebastián (un estado) y El regreso de la caza (dos estados), ambas basadas en sus pinturas de 1857 y 1859. » (J.
