Carlson et al., Regency to Empire, French Printmaking 1715-1814, The Baltimore Museum of Arts y The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, 1984, n.º 119. Bonita copia en papel vitela blanco, ligeramente oxidada. Pequeños restos de cola a lo largo de los bordes en el reverso. Bonitos márgenes. Sello AABM (Lugt 3075). El cuadro original de Isabey se conserva en el Museo de la Revolución Francesa de Vizille. El modelo era un pintor histórico, discípulo de Jacques-Louis David. Colaboró con François Gérard en varias composiciones de gran formato. Su imponente presencia le valió servir de modelo, además de a Isabey, también a Gérard e Ingres.
