Tobias, Herbert Fotógrafo: Peter Preller (n. 1940). Herbert Tobias. 1975. 2 copias únicas en color de Polaroid. Cada una de 11 x 9 cm. Herbert Tobias es conocido por sus retratos cargados de significado psicológico de figuras de los círculos artísticos y queer de la Alemania de la posguerra. Su obra suele explorar la identidad y la representación a través de imágenes cuidadosamente escenificadas. Tomadas en el estudio de Peter Preller en Hamburgo, estas dos Polaroids sitúan al propio Tobias ante la cámara: en una aparece vestido de manera informal en un entorno relajado, y en la otra, con un marcado maquillaje que lo transforma en Marlene Dietrich. – Presenta algunos ligeros arañazos superficiales y huellas dactilares; por lo demás, se encuentra en muy buen estado.
