Fischer, Arno Berlín en llamas (Wedding Humboldthain). 1943. Copia en gelatina de plata, impresa a principios de la década de 1980. 16,4 x 25,3 cm (hoja: 19,2 x 26,7 cm). Firmada y anotada por el fotógrafo a lápiz y con el sello ovalado del fotógrafo en el reverso. Las fotografías documentales de Arno Fischer sobre Berlín Oriental y Occidental de los años 50 y 60 ofrecen una visión matizada de la ciudad durante un periodo de división y transformación. Caracterizadas por una claridad observacional y una sensibilidad hacia la vida cotidiana, captan tanto los retos como la resiliencia de sus habitantes y funcionan tanto como registros históricos como obras de arte autónomas. Esta es la primera fotografía de Fischer, tomada a los 16 años en el barrio berlinés donde nació. – Esquinas golpeadas, varias zonas retocadas, algunas marcas mínimas de manipulación; por lo demás, en buen estado.
