Bernard Cohen, británico, nacido en 1933 - Sin título, 1963; lápiz y crayón sobre papel, firmado y fechado en la parte inferior izquierda «Bernard Cohen - 63», 52 x 63 cm (ARR) Procedencia: en poder de Kasmin Ltd., Londres, n.º de ref. C0151 (según la etiqueta adherida al reverso del bastidor); Alan John Ross (1922-2001) Nota: Cohen fue un pionero de la abstracción en Gran Bretaña en la posguerra y esta obra es un brillante ejemplo de su obra temprana, la que le llevó a la fama. A mediados de la década de 1960, el artista vivió un periodo importante, con exposiciones itinerantes organizadas por el British Council, una retrospectiva en la Hayward Gallery (en la que se incluyó esta obra) y, en 1966, su participación en la muestra «Five Young British Artists» (Cinco jóvenes artistas británicos), la muestra del Pabellón Británico de la Bienal de Venecia de 1966, junto a Anthony Caro, Robyn Denny, Richard Smith y su hermano Harold Cohen.
