Gabriel de SAINT-AUBIN (París, 1724 – 1780) La Declaración, Frédérique a los pies de Clitie: escena de El halcón, de Michel Jean Sedaine Lápiz negro con retoques a pluma y tinta marrón 14,3 x 9,6 cm Firmado y fechado en la parte inferior izquierda: 1771 Ligeramente descolorido por la luz, con algunas manchas de oxidación Nuestro dibujo es un boceto preparatorio de la gouache titulada «La Declaración», fechada en 1771, del mismo tema y con las mismas dimensiones, que hoy se conserva en la Morgan Library, inv. 1958,2 (véase E. Dacier, Gabriel de Saint-Aubin, catálogo razonado, ediciones G. Van Oest, París y Bruselas, 1931, vol. II, págs. 30-31, n.º 151). Dacier, en su ejemplar anotado que hoy se conserva en la Biblioteca Nacional, añade a este gouache el resumen de la obra *Le Faucon*, de Michel Jean Sedaine. Agradecemos a la Sra.
