Marthe Spitzer (1877-1956) Desnudo femenino de pie Bronce con pátina negra Firmado «Marthe Spitzer» Lleva la marca del fundidor «Alexis Rudier / Fundidor. París» Alt. 60 cm Tras cursar estudios de música, Marthe Spitzer se formó en escultura con Madeleine Carpentier y Jean Boucher. Animada por Charles Despiau, expuso en el Salón de los Artistas Franceses entre 1907 y 1914. En 1914, presentó allí, entre otras obras, una estatuilla de yeso que representaba a una mujer desnuda, que podría corresponder al modelo de nuestro bronce. Tras una estancia en España, donde obtuvo un gran éxito en el Salón Lacoste de Madrid en 1917, a su regreso expuso en los Salones de Otoño y de las Tullerías.
