El texto (en francés) fue escrito por Horacio (romano antiguo, 65-8 a. C.) y publicado por Phillippe Gonin. Este grabado en madera se imprimió a partir de los bloques de madera originales diseñados y grabados por el propio artista. Edición limitada a 350 ejemplares en «papier de chanvre et lin» (papel de cáñamo y lino), con la marca de agua «Phillippe Gonin 1939».
