Enmarcado Altura: 35 cm; anchura: 22 cm Johann Gaudenz von Salis-Seewis (1762-1834) fue un poeta, oficial y político suizo perteneciente a la familia noble de Salis, de los Grisones. Durante su servicio militar al servicio de Francia, se hizo famoso como autor de poesía en lengua alemana. Simpatizaba con los ideales de la Revolución Francesa y abogó por la adhesión de los Grisones a la República Helvética, en cuyo ejército sirvió en 1799 como jefe del Estado Mayor.
