17th Century Flemish School - Corpus Christi Wood. Dimensions: 130 × 115 × 26 cm. Devotional sculpture carved in wood depicting the body of Christ on the cross, retaining traces of original polychromy. The work belongs to the Flemish sculptural tradition, characterized by restrained naturalism, meticulous anatomical detail, and a sober expressiveness intended to foster religious contemplation. The monumentality of the figure, combined with the patina of age and the chromatic vestiges, reinforces its historical and devotional character, originally conceived for a liturgical or parish context. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer's statutory rights.
