Par de sillas «Grotto» de madera tallada, fabricadas en Venecia durante la década de 1950. Estas piezas destacan por su diseño orgánico y escultórico, inspirado en las formas de la naturaleza y en la tradición decorativa veneciana vinculada al mundo marino. El estilo «grotto» tiene su origen en las grutas —cuevas artificiales creadas como pabellones ornamentales por la nobleza europea entre los siglos XVIII y XIX—. De esta fascinación por lo natural y lo fantástico surgió un estilo decorativo aplicado al mobiliario, especialmente popular en Venecia a finales del siglo XIX y en las primeras décadas del siglo XX, caracterizado por piezas que reinterpretan conchas, delfines y motivos marinos en un estilo artesanal.
