Charles James Matthews - «Nuestro único cómico», de Ape, 1875. Este grabado fue realizado por el artista italiano Carlo Pellegrini (Ape). Vanity Fair llevaba por subtítulo «Una muestra semanal de productos políticos, sociales y literarios» y fue fundada en 1868 por Thomas Gibson Bowles (que firmaba sus ilustraciones como Jehu Junior), cuyo objetivo era poner al descubierto las vanidades contemporáneas de la sociedad victoriana. Las cromolitografías fueron realizadas por un grupo internacional de artistas entre los que se encontraban Max Beerbohm (Max y Bulbo), Sir Leslie Ward (Spy y Drawl) y Carlo Pellegrini (Singe y Ape). También se incluye la página biográfica. Excelente estado, pero por favor, revisa las imágenes para detectar posibles marcas menores propias de su antigüedad.
