Este raro grabado en cobre procede de la obra *Genteel Houshold Furniture, In the Present Taste with an addition of several Articles never before Executed*, de una Sociedad de Tapiceros, Ebanistas, etc. Impreso para Robert Sayer, Londres, 1765. Poco se sabe sobre la Sociedad, pero se cree que se trataba de un grupo formado por los fabricantes y diseñadores de muebles más de moda de Londres. Probablemente, Robert Manwaring contribuyó con la mayoría de los diseños de sillas. Otros diseños se han atribuido a Thomas Johnson, William Ince y John Mayhew, Thomas Chippendale, Matthias Lock y Matthias Darley.
