Pancrace BESSA (1772-1846) La señora Bessa, esposa del pintor Écouen, hacia julio de 1844 Daguerrotipo, media placa, vertical, imagen sin enderezar. Con paspartú blanco con ventana octogonal, marco negro. Punzón 30 dentro de un círculo (título 1/30). 10 x 8 cm (superficie visible) Procedencia Casa de Écouen; descubierto hace unos cuarenta años junto con otras dos placas del mismo conjunto. La esposa del pintor, con gorro y cuello de encaje, lazo bajo la barbilla, chal a cuadros y las manos juntas, posa ante una sábana tendida con pliegues en diagonal. Este es el decorado del autorretrato del pintor y de los tres retratos de su hijo Louis-Maximilien, fechados el 20 de julio de 1844 (fondo del taller, Beaussant-Lefèvre, 18 de diciembre de 2008).
