Erich Dietz, Granja detrás de los árboles en primer plano, varios árboles; a la derecha, una antigua granja con fachada blanca y tejado rojo; detrás del grupo de árboles se divisan otros edificios; representación muy pastosa, con relieve y expresiva; el motivo procede probablemente de la zona de Altenburg (hay un cuadro similar en el Museo Lindenau de Altenburg, donde el lugar se denomina Haselbach), óleo sobre cartón pintado, monograma «ED» en la esquina inferior izquierda, ligeros signos de envejecimiento, en marco dorado ligeramente magullado, dimensiones del pliegue: 47,5 x 63,5 cm. Información sobre el artista: pintor de Turingia (1903 en Zissendorf – 1990 en Plottendorf, cerca de Altenburg), inicialmente obrero en la fábrica de porcelana de Meuselwitz; de 1925 a 1929, alumno en la HBK de Weimar con Richard Engelmann y Fritz Feigler; se inspiró en los vestigios de la Bauhaus; a partir de 1945, artista independiente en la zona de Altenburg; a partir de 1948, conservador del Museo del Castillo de Altenburg; más tarde, compartió taller con la escultora Annemarie Hase; además de la pintura, también se dedicó a la cerámica; en sus obras aborda con frecuencia el paisaje de su tierra natal, Altenburg.
