Eduard Agricola, «Junto a la cascada» Agua que se derrama sobre grandes rocas y piedras en un lago del bosque, acuarela y blanco opaco sobre papel resistente, en la esquina inferior izquierda, título ilegible y fecha «9/856»; en el reverso, sello «Eduard Agricola 1800-1877, legado»; signos de paso del tiempo; montada en paspartú; dimensiones de la hoja: aprox. 23 x 30 cm. Información sobre el artista: cuyo nombre completo era Fritz Rudolf Eduard Agricola, pintor paisajista y dibujante alemán (1800, Berlín – 1877, Karlsruhe), entre 1818 y 1826 estudió pintura en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Berlín; posteriormente, hasta 1830, residió en Múnich y Salzburgo; entre 1830 y 1850 residió en Roma y Nápoles; en 1845 fue cofundador de la Asociación Alemana de Artistas de Roma; en la década de 1840 trabajó para Carl y Albrecht de Prusia; a partir de aproximadamente 1850 volvió a establecerse en Alemania; en 1873 participó en la Exposición Universal de Viena; fuente: Thieme-Becker, Boetticher, AKL y Wikipedia.
