Jarra de plata con funda de cuero probablemente de Inglaterra, fechada en 1655; plata con el sello del maestro RI dentro de un rectángulo con borde punteado; inscripción grabada: «1655 The Legacy of Nicholas Strachey», escudo heráldico incrustado en la pared con el escudo de armas grabado de la familia Strachey, de Sutton Court, Stowey, Somerset, Inglaterra; tapa con motivo repujado de la Commonwealth: Oliver Cromwell a caballo, con la inscripción en latín: «OLIVARIUS DEI GRA(TIA) REIP(UBLICAE) ANGLIÆ SCOTIÆ ET HIBERNIÆ & PROTECTOR»; el cuerpo cilíndrico y la base están revestidos de cuero, anillo de base y borde con reborde montados con un kymation perimetral; el asa de cuero lleva una tapa abatible con bisagras y cierre solapado, con un tirador enrollado; presenta signos de antigüedad y uso; la tapa no cierra del todo; altura: 25 cm.
