Ya a mediados de la década de 1950, Jean Tinguely comenzó a producir una serie de obras generativas bajo el título: Métamatics: máquinas que producen obras de arte. Con esta serie de obras, Tinguely no solo cuestionaba la introducción de la máquina robótica como interfaz en nuestra sociedad, sino que también ponía en tela de juicio el papel del artista, de la obra de arte y del espectador. - En el reverso, montada en varios puntos sobre un soporte de cartón de color gamuza fijado al paspartú.
