Nota: Dargelas estudió en la École des Beaux-Arts con François-Édouard Picot (1786-1868), y finalmente se estableció en Écouen, sede de una colonia de artistas entre cuyos miembros se encontraban Paul Constant Soyer (1823-1903) y Pierre Édouard Frère (1819-1886).
