Círculo de Paolo Anesi, italiano, 1697-1773- Paisaje de estilo italiano con figuras pescando en primer plano y una torre en ruinas al fondo; óleo sobre cobre, 15 x 22,2 cm. Procedencia: Paul Wertheimer, Bielefeld, Westfalia (adquirida hacia 1930). De ahí, por herencia, al actual propietario, nieto del anterior. Nota: Anesi se dedicó principalmente a pintar caprichos y paisajes, al estilo de Giovanni Paolo Pannini (1691-1765). La presente obra recuerda en gran medida a sus idílicos paisajes de estilo italiano, asemejándose, por ejemplo, a un óleo sobre cobre similar que se subastó en Sotheby’s, Londres, el 7 de julio de 2016, lote 192, o a otro par que se subastó en Sotheby’s, Nueva York, el 24 de enero de 2008, lote 110.
