MANUEL HERNÁNDEZ MOMPÓ (Valencia, 1927 – Madrid, 1992). «Fiesta en la calle», 1974. Serigrafía sobre papel. Copia n.º 2/125. Firmada, titulada y fechada a lápiz. Dimensiones: 70 x 50 cm. Hernández Mompó estudió en Valencia, Granada, París y Roma, y en 1954 fue galardonado con el Premio de la Navegación Italiana en la Exposición Internacional de Viareggio. En 1957 regresó a España y, al año siguiente, recibió una beca de la Fundación Juan March de Madrid, así como el Gran Premio Nacional de Pintura y la medalla de primer premio en la Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes. Entre sus galardones más destacados se encuentran el Premio de la UNESCO, recibido en la 34.ª Bienal de Venecia en 1968, y el Premio Nacional de Bellas Artes del Ministerio de Cultura en 1984. Su obra está representada en el IVAM de Valencia, el Museo Nacional Reina Sofía, el Museo de Arte Abstracto de Cuenca, el Museo Británico de Londres, el Centro Georges Pompidou de París, la colección del Chase Manhattan Bank de Nueva York y el Museo Winterthur de Suiza, entre muchos otros.
