JOAN JOSEP THARRATS (Girona, 1918 – Barcelona, 2001). Sin título. Acrílico y collage sobre lienzo montado en tabla. Firmado en la esquina superior derecha. Dimensiones: 14 x 18 cm; 24 x 28 cm (marco). Joan Josep Tharrats fue una figura clave de la vanguardia catalana de la posguerra. Cofundador de *Dau al Set* en 1948 junto a Joan Brossa, Modest Cuixart, Joan Ponç, Arnau Puig y Antoni Tàpies, también desempeñó un papel decisivo en la publicación de la revista, gran parte de la cual se imprimía en su propio taller. Participó en la Bienal de São Paulo de 1959 y en las Bienales de Venecia de 1960 y 1964; recibió la Creu de Sant Jordi en 1983 y el Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas en 1993. Su obra forma parte de colecciones como las del MoMA, el Museo Guggenheim, la Tate, el Museo Reina Sofía y el MACBA.
